10 "best" shots in my backyard

a. I think this is a newly-sprouting clover flower. Slightly post-processed. b. A feather was in my radius! Hooray! (That's me cheering, not the bird...)

c. Another shot of the feather, showing the texture better.
d. This is not as gross as it might seem - it's a piece of a nest that blew into my circle, not a dead animal.
e. My first macro of a clover flower in full bloom.
f. Another flower, I applied gaussian blur to the complete background, and unsharp mask to the yellow areas.
g. This is a bush on one edge of my circle - sloooow shutter speed, rotational motion, gave an outcome that appealed to me. h. The corner of the porch was the other edge of my circle. This was posterized and watercolored for post processing.
i. I used the Hue/Saturation/Lightness command to tweak the six colors under a desaturated regime to give a documentary shot of the deteriorated carpet on the corner.
j. This would be the foundation of the porch. Not that I'd usually take a picture of it, but you should see how uninteresting the rest of the photos are...
Enjoy!

Very nice shots overall! I like the B&W ones best--especially the feather. That one is simply stunning! The tones on all the B&W's are also great--excellent job of converting.
Great exercise overall!

Your comment on "first macro of a clover..." was hilarious! ;^) Funny the things we do sometimes, eh?

In order I liked the porch corner in color (if you didn't say what it was it would be even more interesting), the motion blur on the bush (good job using prior exercise materials), and the yellow flower (sorry forget exactly the details - it's easier to comment when you have the comments set to popup. That way you can scroll and look at what you are commenting on at the same time.)

I think ajager has hit the mark, watch the centering, try to use the composition to add to what can be quite boring subjects.

We are learning to look and see, but we can also learn how to represent the things we see in more interesting ways

Hey, not too bad ! Do you follow a pattern or am I looking at it the wrong way. I tried this one Texas Holdem Poker , but don't seem to be getting anywhere. Check it when you can ! I put in words like poker strategy but that doesn't help either.---Jack---
